Real Love / Delorean

Strategic Modification (2009) by Liz Noble Real Love / Delorean from Subiza [True Panther, 2010]

I’m not quite sure what happened but I found myself completely obsessed with dance music this year.  Or maybe not “dance music,” but music that made me want to dance.       I think it all started when I would go to parties that my friends threw and start picking songs to play in the background to see if I could get other people to start dancing.

As the year went on, it came to a point where all I wanted to do was be DJ at parties.  I took this very seriously, even to the point where I gave myself a pseudonym – Sheepman – after reading Dance, Dance, Dance by Haruki Murakami.

When I made my first Sheepman mix, called “Bliss Out,” it all culminated with this song.

‘Dance,’ said the Sheep Man. ‘You gotta dance. As long as the music plays. You gotta dance.’
